Mississippi Pie
Indian Style
from Gradie Siler Tabler

1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup real butter
3 large eggs
2 cups pecan halves
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt

Melt sugar and syrup in saucepan with butter. Bring to rolling boil. Cool.

Stir in well beaten eggs. Stir in pecans, vanilla and salt. Pour into 8 inch pie shell. Bake in 375 degree oven, 30 minutes. Serves eight. Very rich!
